Meanwhile, Victor and Chance continue to press Cane and Carter for the truth about Damian’s murder, suspecting the assistant may be covering for his boss. At the chateau, Sharon, Billy and Sally work together in a desperate attempt to keep an injured Nick alive. Back at the maze, Cane pushes Carter for answers as Victor and Chance secretly eavesdrop, hoping to catch a confession.

On The Young and the Restless on July 25, 2025, Lauren visits Nikki in her train car and encourages her to take a walk. Nikki declines but invites her inside and vents about her growing fear for Nick and Victoria, recalling a nightmare that seems to be playing out in real life.

She is worried about Nick being accused of murder and does not believe Cane cares about the consequences. Lauren tries to reassure her that Cane would not harm Nick or Sharon, but Nikki is not so sure and believes Cane’s actions are part of a larger power play involving Chancellor.

Meanwhile, in the main train car, Cane attempts to speak to Carter privately, but Chance and Victor insist on staying. They accuse Carter of knowing where the murder weapon was hidden and question Cane’s decision to detain Nick and Sharon. Carter claims innocence, but Chance and Victor remain skeptical after Carter contradicts himself.

Chance clarifies that he is working to solve Damian’s murder and is not motivated by Cane’s money. He informs Cane that Carter was caught in multiple lies and accidentally revealed details only the killer would know. Victor and Chance suspect Carter may be protecting Cane or that Carter himself is the killer.

At the chateau, Sharon and Billy tend to a severely injured Nick. Billy prepares to go for help while Sharon tends to Nick’s wound and tries to keep him conscious. She talks to him about their kids and their future, hoping to give him strength. Billy finds Sally in the train car and informs her of Nick’s condition. She grabs supplies and rushes to the chateau with Billy.

Sally takes over first-aid duties. She sterilizes the wound using alcohol and then applies a tea bag to reduce the bleeding. She uses salt as a disinfectant, causing Nick significant pain. Finally, she ties a dressing around the wound with rope. Once Nick stabilizes, Sharon, Sally, and Billy prepare to move him and get help.

In the bar area, Carter updates Amanda on his interrogation. He claims Cane is innocent and says he would never do anything to make him look bad. Amanda questions whether he is covering for Cane, and when Lily arrives, Carter pleads with her to reconsider her view of Cane. She refuses and leaves in disgust. Cane arrives and pushes Carter to tell the truth, asking whether he killed Damian to protect him.

Later, Nikki confronts Amanda and demands to see Cane. She says she is ready to hand over the Chancellor if it guarantees Nick’s freedom. Amanda produces the paperwork, and Lauren warns Nikki not to make a decision she cannot take back. Towards the end of the episode, Chance and Victor secretly listen in as Cane presses Carter to reveal what really happened the night Damian was killed.
