What did Elmo post about Trump? Sesame Street character's X account was reportedly hacked

Elmo, the popular Sesame Street character's official X account, was reportedly hacked on July 13, 2025. The alleged hacker posted antisemitic remarks and told US President Donald Trump to release the Epstein files. Calling Trump "Netanyahu's puppet," the X user claimed the President supposedly wasn't releasing the controversial files because he was on them.

For the unversed, the Epstein files contain details of Jeffrey Epstein's lavish parties on his private island. The files allegedly consist of a list of the high-profile people who attended the late sex offender's parties, where numerous underage girls were reportedly sexually assaulted.

"Elmo says all Jews should die. F**k Jews. Donald Trump is Netanyahu's puppet because he is in the Epstein files. Jews control the world and need to be exterminated... Release the files @realDonaldTrump child f**ker," the deleted tweets stated.

The X user (@nojumper) reuploaded screenshots of the tweets.

A spokesperson from Sesame Workshop confirmed the hacking in a statement to Fox News. They said that they disapprove of the hacker posting "disgusting messages," and that they were trying to gain control of Elmo's X account.

"Elmo's X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts. We are working to restore full control of the account," the statement reads.

Since then, the tweets have been deleted from Elmo's X account. The tweets were up for almost one hour.

The same day Elmo's X account was hacked, Donald Trump slammed netizens for constantly bringing up the Epstein files

On July 13, 2025, Donald Trump posted a long message on Truth Social, criticizing people for bashing Attorney General Pam Bondi and bringing up Jeffrey Epstein and the Epstein files.

The President asked why the Biden administration didn't release the files, if Trump's name was in the files, then he claimed that Democrats allegedly created the files.

Donald Trump stated that "selfish people" are supposedly trying to hurt the Trump administration by spreading rumors, and bringing up the late convicted sex offender every time. He told the netizens to let Pam Bondi do her job.

"They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again," Trump wrote.

On July 8, 2025, during a cabinet meeting, Donald Trump criticized a reporter for asking Pam Bondi about Epstein.

The President asked the reporter if they were trying to "waste the time," by bringing up the billionaire instead of the Texas floods.

"Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years. Are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable. Do you want to waste the time?" Donald Trump stated.

At the time of writing, Donald Trump has not responded to the hacking of Elmo's X account and the antisemitic tweets.
