Who is Brianna Ruffalo? Meet the meteorologist who just married Yellowstone actor Josh Lucas

Brianna Ruffalo took to Instagram on July 18, 2025, to announce that she has tied the knot with Josh Lucas. The wedding ceremony took place inside the Vatican in Rome on Friday. Ruffalo shared some black and white pictures of her special day, with the caption:

"Mr. and Mrs. Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city."

Brianna Ruffalo is a Los Angeles-based meteorologist and reporter for the ABC7 channel, which she joined in March 2017 after gaining experience by working at the sister site ABC30 in Fresno, California. She got engaged to the Yellowstone star in June 2024 after dating for two years.

Born in 1991, Brianna Ruffalo grew up in Los Angeles in an Italian-Greek family with a policeman for a father. She moved to the South when she went to school at Mississippi State University for her degree in meteorology. In a February 2022 Facebook post, she shared that she had received her physical certificate after completing her program in October 2021.

"It feels extremely rewarding to have this after plugging along through sleep deprivation and alllll of life’s curveballs it’s thrown in recent years! I don’t think my education journey is over, but I am definitely taking a much needed break," she wrote.

In the post, she also shared that she worked full-time morning show shifts while studying for her degree. She also holds a B.A. degree in Broadcast Journalism from California State University, Northridge.

Before joining ABC as a weathercaster and reporter, she worked as a special projects producer at KTLA where she covered investigative, health and finance stories, and also co-produced shows for Tribune Broadcasting. She produced the first documentary for the channel in 2016, in which she shed light on the present veteran issues in Missouri. During her time at this channel, she was nominated for an Emmy Award.

Josh Lucas and Brianna Ruffalo have been together for three years

Josh Lucas and Brianna Ruffalo began dating when the actor was working on Palm Royale. Two years later, they got engaged. Around the time of their engagement, they seemed to be on a trip in Italy. In February 2024, the couple took a trip to Mexico.

Lucas and Ruffalo have been supportive of each other's careers. The meteorologist joined the actor on the pink carpet for the premiere of Palm Royale in March 2024. Similarly, the Sweet Home Alabama star has also shared how proud he is of his partner in Instagram posts.

On Ruffalo's Instagram post announcing their marriage, Lucas commented:

"I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so, so grateful."

In another Instagram post, the newlywed bride thanked the wedding planner and church members, who helped bring her dream wedding to life. She wrote:

"We are grateful to the many people who helped us get to this moment in the Catholic Church. I am so thankful for Father Winters at the parish I grew up in and Sister Angelica at the archdiocese of Los Angeles, as well as several others within the archdiocese."

She further continued:

"We also absolutely couldn't have done this without our stellar wedding planning team who coordinated with the Vatican. Thank you for making our wedding day so beautiful and easy."

Lucas also made an Instagram post, in which he thanked the team who helped with their team. He will be sharing screen with Mark Wahlberg and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the upcoming crime thriller By Any Means.
