The White Lotus Star Leo Woodall Was 'Nervous' To Shoot That Shocking Sex Scene

Viewers weren't the only ones stunned by this week's shocking White Lotus sex scene.

British actor Leo Woodall told Vulture he knew he'd have a "rumble and tumble with a couple of characters", but when he learned he'd be sharing an intimate scene with Tom Hollander, he "just had about ten seconds of silence, digesting it." 

Woodall entered the series mid-season as charming Brit Jack, traveling with his Uncle Quentin (Hollander) and serving as an exciting new romantic interest for Haley Lu Richardson's Portia. The end of Episode 5 saw Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) discover Jack and his "uncle" in flagrante, only further complicating matters. 

"Tom and I were both a bit nervous," Woodall admitted. "But [creator] Mike White was very light about everything, especially on the day. We were filming other things before, and he was like, '… Are you ready?' We had a really good intimacy coordinator, took it seriously, but also had fun with it. Definitely a bonding moment."

The White Lotus airs Sundays at 9pm on HBO and is streaming on HBO Max.
