"That's just how it goes with he and I," said Braun.

In an interview with People published Thursday, Succession star Nicholas Braun discussed some of the heated moments between him and co-star Kieran Culkin that didn't make it into the show.

Braun's favorite of those moments occurred in the Season 2 finale, when the Roy family is on a yacht in Croatia debating who should take the fall for the sexual misconduct coverups in the company's cruise ship subsidiary.

"There's a big scene where everybody's talking about who should take the hit for the cruise stuff, and there's a sort of tense moment with me and Kieran's character [Roman Roy] where I say, 'I'm not just Greg sprinkles,'" Braun said. "And Kieran and I often really like to go at each other when we get a chance."

"So in one of our takes, he and I really ramped it up. He came across the table and we started to fight," he continued. "We started to wrestle, and he climbed on my back, and then we went to the ground and wrestled. That was really fun."

One year later, while filming a Season 3 finale scene in which Roman approaches Greg as he's flirting with a European countess, Culkin walked up and slapped Braun in the face as the cameras were rolling.

"I ended up slapping him right back," Braun said. "Both of us were kind of shocked that it happened, but also not, because that's just how it goes with he and I."

Braun said that while filming, he's never sure which of their unscripted moments would actually make it into the final cut, adding "I'm always willing to take a slap for a good take."
