WATCH: Jennifer Coolidge Sells Netflix Horror Series The Watcher in Campy Promo

Ryan Murphy's latest endeavor is based on a terrifying true story.
  • Someone is watching more than Netflix in upcoming series The Watcher

In a quirky three-minute teaser released today, realtor Karen Calhoun (Jennifer Coolidge) is delighted to showcase a big, beautiful house in idyllic Westfield, New Jersey. She highlights the craftsmanship, "hot tub wood" butcher block, and the dumbwaiter big enough to fit a person.

Despite the upbeat tone of the "open house", however, it becomes clear that there's something sinister hiding underneath this house's luxurious features when he won't open the bedroom curtains because of "weird neighbors" you wouldn't want "watching you". Is there something Karen's not telling us?

Co-created by Murphy and Ian Brennan, The Watcher stars Bobby Cannavale and Naomi Watts as a married couple who move to the seemingly quaint suburbs only to discover their dream house might not be so dreamy after all. Mia Farrow, Terry Kinney, Richard Kind, Margo Martindale, and Coolidge are just a few members of the star-studded cast. The series is based on the creepy true story of 657 Boulevard.

The Watcher premieres on Netflix this fall.
