WATCH: Netflix Revisits LA's Notorious Teen Burglars in The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist Trailer

The docuseries will give an inside look at the infamous Hollywood crime spree.
  • One of Hollywood's most notorious crime sprees is getting the docuseries treatment.

Reality series Pretty Wild and Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring might have immortalized the teen burglars who targeted Hollywood celebrities, but Netflix docuseries The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist wants to go deeper than anyone has before.

In the official trailer for the series, Alexis Haines (formerly Neiers) and Nick Prugo - perhaps the best-known members of the ring - sit down for intimate interviews and spill the truth about their time robbing celebrities. "I've always been the type of person to kind of do whatever I had to get what I wanted," says Prugo. "But I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would reach the level of criminality that it did."

Between 2008 and 2009, the group stole what is believed to be around $3 million worth of cash and belongings from the homes of celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Audrina Patridge, to name a few. "We were constantly going to Paris' house," Prugo recalls. "It was like our personal ATM."

"The defendants want to be famous. The attorneys want to be famous," says another subject. "It's like a f*cked up LA Greek tragedy."

The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist premieres on Netflix September 21.
