Dr. Montgomery is heading back to Seattle.

Kate Walsh will recur in Grey's Anatomy's upcoming 19th season after appearing in a multi-episode arc last year. Season 18 saw Dr. Addison Montgomery return to the hospital to perform a life-saving surgery and later mourn the death of her ex-husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) alongside his sister Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) and widow Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).

As Dr. Montgomery, Walsh was the lead of Grey's spinoff Private Practice from 2007 to 2013 and first appeared on Grey's Anatomy in the Season 1 finale. Until last season, Walsh had not starred on Grey's Anatomy since Season 8. While Walsh is stepping back into the spotlight for Season 19, series lead Pompeo is set to appear in a more limited role as Meredith this time around.

Walsh's first Season 19 appearance will be Episode 3.

Grey's Anatomy Season 19 premieres on ABC October 6 at 9/8c.
