Who are family members of Bryan Braman? Details explored as the NFL champion dies at 38

Bryan Braman, once an NFL linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans, has died at 38 after a long battle with cancer. Braman came into the league as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and soon became known for his tough play and standout work on special teams. He played more than 90 NFL games across his three years with the Texans and four years with the Eagles.

He helped a lot in both team defense and special teams. Even though he was not always the most seen, his work in the Eagles' 2017 Super Bowl win was valued by the team.

    Bryan Braman's cancer battle

In the past few years, Braman was fighting a type of cancer, but many did not know about it. The news of his death came out when old team pals and others talked about it online. His death is a sad time for both his teams and the whole football world.

In February 2025, ex-NFL star Bryan Braman found out he had a fast-moving brain cancer type. He had many surgeries and CAR T-cell help in Seattle, yet the cancer grew fast. A GoFundMe drive got more than $80,000 for his care, with help from old team pals like J.J. Watt ($10,000) and Duane Brown ($2,500). Braman kept looking for trial help even with the bad health news. He died on July 17, 2025, at 38 years old.

    Family members of Bryan Braman

Bryan Braman leaves two girls, Blakely, 11, and Marlowe, 8. Nothing is known about his wife or the kids' mother. Known for his tough spirit and strong will, Braman faced a hard youth with times of not having a home. Yet, he made a great pro football life. Off the field, he kept his private life to himself, mainly about his kids, who stayed mostly out of the public eye.

Although Braman was well-regarded in the company of such teams as the Houston Texans, and the Philadelphia Eagles, as it was reported by people who knew him the best, he was a dad who simply adored being one.

He spent most of his life focused on his daughters. He knew how to care for them well. Despite being a public figure, he kept them away from the media spotlight.

Braman's life was built around his two young girls, but it started with another key woman, his mom, Tina Braman-Fields. In her high school days, Tina was a top track star and became a rock of tough love and self-control. She took on the job of raising Bryan and his sister by herself, handling the hard work of being a single parent while helping them grow.

Her past in sports likely shaped how she raised her kids: sharp, pushful, and steady. Tina's help and strong will were big in making Braman's way to the NFL, setting up values that would mark his work life and how he acts as a dad.
