Why was Rudy Giuliani not on The Masked Singer's season premiere?

Last month, Deadline reported that Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke walked out when the polarizing former New York City mayor and devout Trump supporter was unmasked during taping of the first episode of Season 7. Yet Giuliani was missing from last night's season premiere, leading to speculation he had been edited out. However, a Fox spokesperson told Newsweek via email "the show's general format features three groups across the season, and like most productions, the groups are not necessarily taped sequentially, so we don't always know the order they will air."
