Stephen Colbert to spoof TV news with animated Tooning Out the News on CBS All Access

Colbert and his Our Cartoon President team will have its animated characters poke fun at TV news' handling current events and cable news shows like The Five while interviewing real-world guests and newsmakers. Tooning Out the News will feature short daily segments -- such as "Hot Take" and "Virtue Signal" -- that will lead to weekly, full episodes. “The minute the imaginators at Tooning Out the News decked their bleeding edge ideation bizmeth, I knew that the news jackers were ripe for our freemium growth hack pivot,” Colbert said in a statement. “Let’s go Omnichannel for UTTR!
