Stephen Colbert tests positive for COVID-19, will be off until May 2

The Late Show canceled tonight's taping after Colbert's positive test. "Yep! I tested positive for Covid, but basically I’m feeling fine- grateful to be vaxxed and boosted," Colbert tweeted. "Thank you for the well wishes. This just proves that I will do anything to avoid interviewing Jason Bateman." Bateman was scheduled to be a guest along with Ozark co-star Laura Linney, but instead CBS will show a repeat with Josh Brolin and The Who. The Late Show doesn't tape on Fridays and it was already scheduled to be on hiatus next week. So Colbert is scheduled to return on Monday, May 2.
