Simon Cowell is reportedly axing The X Factor

Cowell's ITV British reality singing competition that was responsible for One Direction, Little Mix and Leona Lewis is ending after being on hiatus since 2018, reports The Sun. “Globally, it is still a phenomenon and rakes in millions every year. But in the UK, there is no question it has become slightly stale," said a show insider. The X Factor launched in 2004 as a replacement for Pop Idol. From 2011 through 2013, Cowell starred in the American version of The X Factor on Fox, featuring judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paula Abdul.
