Rob Reiner says he's developing a limited series on the Donald Trump-Vladamir Putin relationship

Reiner is calling the project The Spy and the Asset, but he admits he doesn't yet have the go-ahead to proceed on what he describes as a drama series running 10 to 13 episodes. In fact, Reiner told SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah, “I haven’t told anybody about it yet.” Reiner added that The Spy and the Asset is "all about Putin and Trump, and it takes them from their childhoods up to the point where they cross and what happens to democracy as a result of this convergence...I wanna do it because, for me, it’s like … taking the first real cut in history.”
