Mary J. Blige joins Netflix's The Umbrella Academy

The singer/actress, who is nominated for two Academy Awards this year for Mudbound -- for best original song and best supporting actress --  has signed on for her first regular TV role. She'll play Cha-Cha, a ruthless and unorthodox hit-woman, on the drama series about the estranged members of a family of superheroes. Blige is signed on for only one year.
