Mariah Carey to star in a Magical Christmas Special for Apple TV+

Carey is partnering with Apple TV+ on Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special, an "innovative special" that will "combine music, dancing and animation driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together," says Apple TV+. The special will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Carey's iconic modern holiday anthem "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Apple TV+ is promising "a star-studded lineup of surprise guest appearances, in a magical holiday journey to enliven the Christmas spirit around the world." Carey has a busy fall, with the release of her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, on Sept. 29 and two-disc The Rarities collection on Oct. 2.
