MTV to document the first disabled person's quest to travel to space

Disabled rights activist and humanitarian Eddie Ndopu, a South African who was was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy at birth, will be subject of the untitled reality show. MTV cameras will follow him as he enlists an aerospace company to facilitate the mission. His goal is to deliver a message from above Earth to the U.N. General Assembly, sending "a powerful message on behalf of young people everywhere who have ever felt excluded by society."
