Josh Brolin signs on for Amazon's Outer Range from producer Brad Pitt

In Outer Range, Brolin will play a "rancher fighting for his land and family who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming's wilderness," per The Hollywood Reporter. "Brolin will star as Royal Abbott, a Wyoming rancher who must grapple with the unknown after discovering a mystery on his land." Outer Range was created by playwright Brian Watkins, with Brad Pitt serving as executive producer. This will be Brolin's first regular TV role since starring in the Lawrence O'Donnell-created NBC political drama Mister Sterling in 2003.
