Hailee Steinfeld is staying mum on potentially joining Marvel's Hawkeye, but will Dickinson get in the way?

Steinfeld said “that, I don’t know about" when Variety asked her on the Dickinson red carpet about reports last month that she is in talks for the lead role in the upcoming Disney+ Hawkeye series. According to Variety, what might be preventing Steinfeld from joining Hawkeye is a non-compete clause in her Apple Dickinson contract. Variety adds: "Such clauses can prevent an actor or actress from taking another role at a competing streamer for a considerable amount of time, though given Steinfeld’s A-lister status, sources say she and her team should be able to negotiate around that."
