Event Horizon TV series is in the works at Amazon

Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard is behind the TV series adaptation of the Paul W. S. Anderson-directed 1997 sci-fi horror film starring Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan and Joely Richardson. This wouldn't be Wingard's first revival of a past movie. He directed the 2016 film Blair Witch, a sequel to The Blair Witch Project. According to Variety, Event Horizon revolves around the spaceship of the same name, captained by Fishburne in the film, "that disappeared after testing an experimental gravity drive capable of creating an artificial black hole that was meant to allow the ship to travel to distant points in the galaxy. A rescue crew and the gravity drive’s inventor are sent to investigate after the ship mysteriously reappears, only to discover that the ship traveled to a hellish dimension outside of the known universe that infects the ship with a sinister sentience, leading to multiple deaths."
