Actress Vanessa Hudgens is presently expecting a second child with her husband, former professional baseball player Cole Tucker. The couple were first linked romantically in 2020 and announced their engagement in 2023. They got married in December of the same year in Tulum, Mexico, and are proud parents of a baby boy born in July 2024. 

The Princess Switch actress has always gushed about her husband in public, telling Entertainment Tonight in April 2021:

"He's just kind of perfect for me. I am happy. I really am. I think that it's also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I've been making that a priority, and I feel like it's just been making magic happen all the more."

Vanessa first noticed Cole while attending a Zoom meditation session in October 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been open about being the one to first reach out, sliding into the DMs of the Major League Baseball star Cole. Cole Bryson Tucker, a switch‑hitting shortstop/outfielder from Phoenix, Arizona, was selected 24th overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2014 MLB Draft, signing for $1.8 million and rising rapidly through the minor‑league system with strong speed and defensive tools. Tucker made his major league debut on April 20, 2019, following impressive seasons in the Rookie and Class-A levels. He launched his first MLB hit, a walk-off two-run home run, in a rain-shortened play for Pittsburgh.

He played a variety of positions throughout the 2019–2022 season, including shortstop, second base, and outfield, but he was unable to establish a steady offensive presence. In 183 major-league games, he recorded a career batting line of.213/.266/.316 with five home runs and 40 RBIs. The Pirates designated him for assignment in May 2022, and the Arizona Diamondbacks claimed him off waivers, although he never played a game with them and spent time in Triple-A.

Tucker joined the Colorado Rockies in 2023 and had a few appearances in Major League Baseball before joining the Los Angeles Angels in April 2024. He had 24 appearances for L.A., hitting.180 and recording three RBIs before being assigned in the middle of the season.

Tucker shocked many when he announced his retirement from professional baseball in March 2025, at the age of 28, after passing waivers and choosing free agency in October 2024. Quickly turning to coaching, he used his background playing a variety of infield and outfield positions.

Vanessa Hudgens and MLB outfielder Cole Tucker met at a Zoom meditation session during the COVID-19 lockdown in November 2020, when romance rumors began to circulate. Hudgens later acknowledged that she quickly sent him direct messages to start a relationship. On February 14, 2021, Vanessa posted their first Instagram post with the comment, "It's you, it's me, it's us," marking their official Instagram debut. Tucker acknowledged their connection in a radio interview in March 2021, referring to Vanessa as "cool" and stressing that he didn't want the media to portray it any differently than other athlete relationships.

In December 2021, the couple celebrated their first anniversary by making their red carpet debut at the premiere of Hudgens' Tick, Tick…Boom! Tucker proposed in late 2022 after they had been dating for more than two years, and Vanessa shared beautiful pictures from Paris to announce their engagement in February 2023.
