Actor Dennis Quaid recently shared a glimpse into his marriage with wife Laura Savoie. During his interview with Fox News Digital last week, the actor discussed their relationship. When questioned about what he loved most about his wife, Quaid stated:
"My life is paradise. Every day is paradise with her. It really is."
For context, the Parent Trap actor met Savoie during a business event in 2019. The pair hit it off and soon began dating. They tied the knot in June 2020.
She is a former certified public accountant who helped found Quaid's production company, Bonniedale Films.
Talking about their connection, the actor continued:
"It's the closest relationship I've ever had with anybody. Every day is paradise. What can I tell you? I don't know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but (I'm) really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers."
Laura Savoie hails from St. Louis, Missouri. She holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Pepperdine University, according to her LinkedIn profile. Notably, she completed her course in three years and was named valedictorian of her graduating class. She also boasts a master's degree in accounting, financial reporting, and assurance services from the University of Notre Dame.
Laura Savoie is certified with the California State Board of Accountancy and holds a real estate license. She also is a registered yoga instructor. Per her LinkedIn, she has volunteered with organizations like Baja Build, Standing on Stone Malibu Community Outreach, Fiji Kinde Project, and Oasis of Hollywood.
According to People magazine, Savoie was working towards her second business degree (University of Texas at Austin) when she met Dennis Quaid.
Citing an October 2019 interview with Extra, People relayed that Dennis Quaid proposed to Savoie during their trip to Hawaii.
The pair was initially set to get married in April 2020 in Hawaii, followed by a reception in Nashville. However, their plans changed after the pandemic hit.
The couple eloped in Santa Barbara at a seaside resort in June 2020 with only their pastor as their witness. At the time, the actor told People, Savoie was the "most stunning bride."
Savoie is Quaid's fourth wife. He was married to actress P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983, When Harry Met Sally star Meg Ryan from 1991 to 2001, and real estate agent Kimberly Buffington from 2004 to 2018.
Notably, he shares a son, actor Jack Quaid, with Ryan and twins Thomas and Zoe with Buffington.
During an April 2024 interview with Fox News Digital, Dennis Quaid asserted that he didn't notice their age gap. Noting that she has a lot "going on," he added:
"I haven't spoken out about the age difference of my wife. Other people have. But… I really don't think about it."
The actor noted that Savoie was the "light of (his) life."
After the couple's engagement in 2019, Dennis Quaid told The Guardian that the discourse surrounding their age difference was "really a laugh."
The Sovereign star elaborated that he didn't go looking for someone "younger," adding:
"You have no control over who you fall in love with. I don’t fall in love easy. But I can’t let what a few people think control all that."
He noted that everyone has a different "perspective" in life, and he couldn't "control" that.
Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie launched Bonniedale Films in December 2021 alongside Ben Howard. The production company is based out of Nashville, where the couple lives.
Savoie, too, has gushed about their life together. Following their wedding, she told People he inspired her and brought her joy.
