The July 21, 2025 episode of The Young and the Restless begins with a dramatic moment as a heated encounter between Kyle and Audra in his sleeping car becomes an argument.

After sharing a kiss and moving towards the bed, Kyle suddenly freezes and blames Audra for playing games with him.

He says he is onto her and suspects she used the killing of Nate's brother, Damian, to entice him as part of a bigger scheme.

Audra swears the truth is different, that her moves are spontaneous and emotional, but Kyle does not believe it.

He blames her for conspiring with Victor to ruin his romance with Claire and to tamper with the Vibrante deal.

In spite of her persistent denials, Kyle indicates that he is not fooled and means to inform Victor that she has not succeeded.

Elsewhere, Jack confronts Billy in the garden near the maze. Jack expresses concern over Billy’s pursuit of Chancellor and his sudden move to hand over control of their company to Sally without consultation.

Billy admits he cannot let go of his ambition to reclaim Chancellor, citing unresolved issues tied to Jill and Victor.

The conversation quickly escalates, ending with Billy pulling out of their partnership and announcing plans to find another investor to buy Jack out. Meanwhile, in the club car, Phyllis and Sharon debate Cane’s potential guilt in Damian’s murder.

Phyllis defends Cane, while Sharon and Nick remain skeptical.

When Nick joins them, he reveals that the surveillance footage from Cane’s property, where the murder occurred, has been erased.

He sees this as further proof of Cane’s guilt. Phyllis counters that someone else could be framing Cane. Frustrated, Nick declares he is leaving the mountain to speak directly with authorities.

Sharon follows Nick to his sleeping car and insists on joining him. As they prepare to leave, Carter and a guard arrive.

Carter announces that Nick is being placed under house arrest due to perceived threats against Cane. When Nick resists, Carter warns that the situation could escalate. Sharon is also detained for attempting to flee with him.

Later, Billy and Phyllis meet at the maze bar and share drinks while venting their frustrations. Billy opens up about his broken partnership with Jack, and Phyllis admits her hopes of working with Cane are threatened.

They recognize that they have similar goals. They agree that getting Cane cleared is the key to moving forward, and decide to join forces to help prove his innocence.
