Rick and Morty continues to expand its universe with a new adult animated comedy series, President Curtis. The show was announced at the San Diego Comic Con on July 25, in the presence of voice actor Keith David, who will reprise his role as the titular character. Set to air on Adult Swim, President Curtis will also star Jim Rash and Stephanie Beatrix, and is executive produced by Dan Harmony and James Siciliano.
As per the logline of the show, “’President Curtis’ follows the Commander-in-Chief and his eccentric staff as they tackle the kind of crises that Rick Sanchez could never be bothered with – from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena.”
Rick and Morty: The Anime and Vindicators 2: Last Stand Between Earth and Doom are two previous "Rick and Morty" TV spinoffs. Numerous games and shorts have also been inspired by the series.
“This is a series we would have greenlit even if it didn’t have anything at all to do with Rick and Morty,” Michael Ouweleen, Adult Swim prexy, said. “President Andre Curtis is just that good of a character. The rest of the world the team has fleshed out is super fun and totally stands on its own. We can’t wait for you to see it.”

In the upcoming Rick and Morty spinoff President Curtis, veteran actor Keith David will play President Andre Curtis, a part he has voiced for eight seasons of the original series. The spinoff, which was co-created and executive produced by series creators Dan Harmon and James Siciliano, centers around Curtis in his own story, making the Commander-in-Chief a main character instead of Rick's recurring antagonist.
Curtis and his diverse White House staff, which includes Stephanie Beatriz and Jim Rash as voice actors, deal with issues that Rick would view as beneath him in the new series. These issues range from interdimensional diplomacy and paranormal investigations to apocalyptic scenarios throughout the multiverse.
The project is a dream come true, according to Keith David, who is excited to go deeper into Curtis's world and cause mayhem without Rick. President Curtis promises a new, amazing sci-fi universe akin to X-Files, where the only man who can compete with Rick is finally in command, albeit no release date has been set.
According to David “President Curtis has always been a blast to play,” and “Getting to explore his world more deeply in this new series is a dream. I can’t wait for fans to see what kind of chaos he stirs up when Rick isn’t around to steal the spotlight.”
The eight seasons of Rick and Morty are available on both Hulu and Max (previously HBO Max), which are the main streaming services in the United States.
Max offers multiple membership options for American viewers: the Ad-Free plan costs $15.99/month, the With Ads plan costs $9.99/month, and the Ultimate Ad-Free plan with 4K streaming and downloads is $19.99/month. Hulu, meanwhile, charges $7.99/month for a basic package with advertisements and $17.99/month for the Hulu (No Ads) version. At $76.99/month, you can also get Hulu + Live TV, which combines Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+. Rick and Morty is also accessible via Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, and Vudu for consumers who would rather buy individual episodes or entire seasons.
The most accessible subscription-based sites for streaming Rick and Morty in the United States are still Max and Hulu, which provide flexibility based on viewing patterns and financial preferences, whether you're catching up on previous seasons or plunging into the newest episodes.
