Plot of Happy Gilmore 2

The story of Happy Gilmore 2 picks up almost 30 years after the first movie. Happy used to be a good golfer, but now that his wife Virginia died, he lives a quieter life with his daughter Vienna. He works at a grocery store to support his daughter, who wants to go to a top ballet school. The school has high tuition costs, though, so Happy has to go back to the golf course to make money. Frank Manatee, the CEO of a new golf league called Maxi Golf, comes up to him and wants Happy to be the star of his league. Happy doesn't want to play golf again, but his friend John Daly convinces him to do so.

Happy fights his own problems, like alcoholism, and tries to change his life for the sake of his daughter throughout the movie. He finally plays in a high-stakes golf tournament where the best players from the Maxi Golf league will play against the best players from the traditional golf league. There are funny parts, sad parts, and a strong sense of redemption as Happy faces his past and makes things better for Vienna in the future.
