Happy Gilmore 2 returned almost 30 years after the original 1996 film. Happy Gilmore 2, which premiered on Netflix on July 25, 2025, also features several cameos, including sports stars like Travis Kelce and golfers such as Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.

The sequel, directed by Kyle Newacheck, continues Happy's journey. The movie follows Happy as he overcomes grief, battles alcoholism, and reconnects with his daughter, Vienna, who aspires to attend a prestigious ballet school. The film doesn't have a scene after the credits. There is, however, a mid-credits scene.

Happy Gilmore 2 is about Happy going back to golf to support his daughter's goals. After years of fighting his own demons, Happy tries to get over his past and take back his life. As the story goes on, he goes up against a new golf league called Maxi Golf, which the dishonest Frank Manatee runs.

Happy Gilmore 2 has no end-credits scene

There is no post-credit scene for fans to look forward to when Happy Gilmore 2 ends. Although there are funny and moving parts in the movie itself, the creators chose not to add an extra scene at the end of the credits.

Happy Gilmore 2 includes a mid-credits sequence. This scene is the last time the audience gets to see how Frank Manatee and Scottie Scheffler end up. After the tense golf match between the regular golfers and Maxi Golf, the scene in the middle of the credits brings their stories to a close. But people who want a twist at the end or a hint at a second movie will have to look elsewhere.

More to know about Happy Gilmore 2

In Happy Gilmore 2, Adam Sandler's character goes back to golfing after a long break because of personal problems he has been having for years. In the film, Happy faces not only the loss of his wife but also a battle with alcoholism. After killing his wife by accident in a terrible golf accident, Happy gives up the sport and becomes depressed. However, when Happy's daughter Vienna wants to go to a well-known ballet school, he decides to go back to work to help pay for her education.

As the story goes on, Happy returns to professional golf with the help of old friends like John Daly. However, he faces stiff competition from a new league, Maxi Golf, headed by Frank Manatee. In this new league, golf is played in a more extreme way, with players using illegal methods to improve their driving distance. While Happy is trying to get enough money for Vienna's ballet school, he gets into a fight with Maxi Golf and has to face his own past.

As the movie goes on, Happy's bond with his daughter Vienna grows stronger. He wants to make things right in his personal life and on the golf course. Happy plays in a high-stakes golf match between the traditional golfers and the Maxi Golf league with the help of old friends like Shooter McGavin and Oscar, who is his caddie.
