The White Lotus actors Aimee Lou Wood, Walton Goggins, and Patrick Schwarzenegger attended the 2025 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. While Wood and Schwarzenegger posed together, Walton Goggins posed by himself.

Patrick Schwarzenegger told Variety on the Met Gala red carpet that he contacted the actress because he felt nervous about attending the event. The actor called Wood his "real friend," stating that attending with her made him relax.

"I heard Aimee was coming and I texted her and I said, 'Can we please go together? I'm so nervous.' And she was like, 'I was going to text you the same thing!' I went to her hotel and we showed up together. It takes the nerves out of it that you have a real friend to come with," Schwarzenegger told the media outlet.

Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins played the roles of onscreen couple Chelsea and Rick Hatchett in the third season of The White Lotus. According to The New York Post's report, fans noticed that after the season finale aired on April 6, the actors unfollowed each other on Instagram.

This sparked rumors of an alleged feud. The two stars, however, did not comment on the feud rumors.

The two actors' alleged feud got more attention after the April 12 episode of the famous comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live aired. In the episode, a political spoof of The White Lotus aired. The sketch titled White Potus seemingly mocked Aimee Lou Wood's character, Chelsea. The SNL star Sarah Sherman played the character wearing large fake teeth.

Walton Goggins praised the sketch in the clip's comment section on Instagram. The actor later deleted his comment after Wood publicly called out SNL via Instagram stories on April 13. Calling the skit "mean and unfunny," Wood stated that it should've been done in a "less cheap way."

"I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny. Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the piss for sure — that's what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?" The actress wrote.

On May 1, Walton Goggins sat down for an interview with The Times. Throughout the interview, he was asked about Aimee Lou Wood three times. When Goggins was asked about the two actors unfollowing each other on Instagram, he refused to discuss it.

"I'm not gonna have that conversation," Goggins said.

When the interviewer asked about the SNL skit on Aimee Lou Wood and the actor's comment, Goggins again said he won't talk about the matter as the skit was political. The third time the White Lotus star was asked about the alleged feud, he called out the interviewer.

"There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media — it's in a vacuum...What the f**k, Ed! Come on, buddy. Wow," he said.

Despite the feud rumors, on the April 17 episode of the Viall Files podcast, CNN journalist Elizabeth Wagmeister claimed Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins will allegedly work on a new project. However, the news has not been confirmed yet.
