The Masked Singer is shaking things up this season.

Season 8 of the FOX competition series will see only one contestant move on from each episode, unmasking the celebrities with the lowest amount of votes on a weekly basis. The following week, the winner from the previous week's episode will go up against new competition, a format that will continue until the Semi-Finals. There will be 22 Masked Singers this season in total, more celebrity contestants than any season so far.

This season will also introduce brand new themed episodes like "Muppets Night", "TV Themes", "Comedy Roast", "'90s Night", and more, while costumes will include "Avocado", "Bride", "Venus Fly Trap", and "Mummies", to name a few.

Unmasked celebrity guests this season include big names Donny Osmond, Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Muppets, Will Arnett, Leslie Jordan, Joel McHale, Jon Lovitz, Jodie Sweetin, Carrot Top, Blue Man Group, Lance Bass, and many more. Host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke will also return.

The Masked Singer Season 8 premieres September 21 at 8pm on FOX.
