Fans Celebrate Mike Barnes' Return in Cobra Kai Season 5

Mike Barnes is back! A batch of first-look images from Season 5 of Cobra Kai revealed that Sean Kanan will reprise his role as antagonist Mark Barnes from The Karate Kid, Part III.

It hasn't been revealed how Kanan's character will return in Cobra Kai, but fans are excited about the possibilities. Many took to social media to celebrate Barnes' return, with one fan writing, "This is not a drill!"

Others wondered if Mike Barnes' appearance could mean the return of other Karate Kid III characters like Snake (Jonathan Avildsen) and Dennis (William Christopher Ford).

Kanan's return to the Karate Kid universe was hinted at towards the end of Cobra Kai Season 4, when Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) tells John Kreese (Martin Kove), "I'll call a couple of old Cobra Kai buddies to help out while you're gone."

Cobra Kai Season 5 premieres September 9 on Netflix.
