Laura Dern Makes Surprise White Lotus Cameo in Season Premiere

Dern, who notably collaborated with White Lotus creator Mike White on Enlightened nearly a decade ago, lent her voice to a revealing scene. Dominic (Michael Imperioli) calls his (almost certainly ex) wife to check in on her after kicking off his trip to Sicily, and it becomes very obvious very quickly that she has no interest in speaking to him.
The Big Little Lies star delivers a top-notch voice performance on the other end of the phone, breaking down and throwing some memorable expletives his way. While we don't find out exactly what it is that Dominic did to her, it's safe to say the two are done. Unfortunately for fans, this might mean no more phone calls to Laura Dern for the duration of The White Lotus's second season, though anything is possible.
Viewers were also thrilled by Dern's cameo in the series, crossing their fingers that she might show up in later installments. "That Laura Dernn voice cameo in the White Lotus premiere better be an appetizer to her appearance later this season," one wrote.
