Having spent four seasons pulling the strings on the Roy family and virtually everyone in their orbit, Succession’s Brian Cox is moving on to masterminding a global competition series with a bunch of James Bond wannabes. In Prime Video’s 007: Road to a Million, Cox plays The Controller, who, with his velvety voice and steely will, sets nine pairs of contestants on a harrowing journey to win £1,000,000 (roughly $1.2 million American).

As his name implies, the Controller is no benign observer in all this. He’s “Le Chiffre meets The Riddler,” having hidden 10 questions around the world for each pair of contestants, who have to make their way through Bond-inspired challenges that will “push their physical strength and mental reserves to the limit,” just to have the opportunity to answer one of these questions. The corresponding amount of money increases with each question until they reach that million-pound prize, but getting a single question wrong eliminates a pair from the competition. So, the game is just a tad more complex than something like Boar on the Floor.

007: Road to a Million includes stops in the Scottish Highlands, Venice, the Swiss Alps, and the Atacama Desert in Chile, which will leave contestants stirred, but hopefully not too shaken to keep going. You can check out the daunting physical challenges and gorgeous locales in the first teaser for the series.

Prime Video released this first look on James Bond Day, which is October 5 (the day of the world premiere of Dr. No in 1962). The competition starts November 10, when all eight episodes of 007: Road to a Million hit the streamer.
