Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, co-stars of The Naked Gun, are dating in real life, a source close to the couple confirmed to People Magazine. The actors sparked speculation of the same during their joint promotional tour—sharing affectionate red carpet moments, playful televised antics, and a staged on-air kiss on the Today Show—though both initially played coy. 

"It's a budding romance in the early stages. It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other,” the unnamed source has revealed, adding that they are currently "enjoying each other's company."

In an October 2024 interview, Neeson, 73, had lauded Anderson, 58, saying he was "madly in love" with her but making it clear that he meant it professionally. Anderson has referred to Neeson as a "perfect gentleman" and commended his generosity and kindness. 

“With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with,” said Neeson at the time. “I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with."

Liam Neeson's previous relationships

Hollywood veteran Liam Neeson’s earliest known celebrity romance was with Dame Helen Mirren, whom he met on the set of Excalibur.

It lasted for four years between 1981 and 1985. In the early 1990s, the Schindler's List star briefly dated Barbra Streisand, Brooke Shields, and Julia Roberts in the early 1990s.

Neeson met Natasha Richardson on Broadway in 1993, and the two were married in the following year. They remained together for the next 15 years, until Richardson passed away in a skiing accident in 2009. The couple has two children, Micheál, 30, and Daniel, 28.

The only relationship he had that was made public after Richardson's death was with public relations executive Freya St. Johnston, which lasted two years between 2010 and 2012.

The actor reportedly told People Magazine in an interview in 2024 that he was over dating and relationships at the time.

It continues the ridiculous slapstick culture into the next generation. Paramount Pictures will release The Naked Gun in theatres on August 1, 2025.

In the film, Liam Neeson plays Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the awkward and sardonic son of the original detective Frank Drebin, who must solve a complex murder case involving tech mogul Richard Cane (Danny Huston) and femme fatale Beth Davenport (Pamela Anderson) while trying to stop the Police Squad from becoming a Spirit Halloween store.

The storyline honors the franchise's history while bringing in new characters, such as Ed Hocken and Nordberg's offspring, and contemporary elements, like jokes that make fun of O.J. Simpson and contemporary pop culture.
