Gossip Girl Season 2 will arrive just in time for the holiday season.

The second season of Joshua Safran's reboot will premiere on HBO Max in December, bringing back the characters played by young stars Jordan Alexander, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Emily Alyn Lind, Thomas Doherty, Evan Mock, Savannah Lee Smith, and Zion Moreno.

Season 2 is set to pick up where Season 1 left off, as Julien (Alexander) teams up with Gossip Girl herself (Tavi Gevinson, among others) following her father's shocking #MeToo moment. Michelle Tratchtenberg, who starred as pot-stirrer Georgina Sparks in the original CW series, will also join the cast this time around.

"I always knew that if we got to a season two, the characters themselves, now that they have been manipulated by Gossip Girl for a full season, would start to play into Gossip Girl's hand," said showrunner Safran. "That would be the place for us to go back to doing that stuff that the first show did so well...There are catfights, and people get pushed into a fountain."

Gossip Girl Season 2 premieres on HBO Max December 1. Season 1 is currently streaming.
