Fat Joe and 50 Cent had a well-known feud that lasted for years. In the early 2000s, trouble started between Fat Joe’s Terror Squad and 50 Cent’s G-Unit, and the tension became public. Diss tracks and heated moments added fuel to the fire. Things worsened when Fat Joe worked with Ja Rule on the song “New York” in 2004. That decision put Joe right in the middle of 50 Cent’s conflict with Ja Rule.

The clash between the two artists hit its highest point during the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. Both rappers hurled insults at each other on live TV, escalating their feud. After that, they spent a long time publicly criticizing each other through interviews and their music. Neither one seemed ready to make the first move to patch things up.

Over the years, their relationship changed a lot despite the ongoing tension. Things took a different turn in 2012 after Chris Lighty passed away. He was a well-known music executive with close connections to both of them. His death made them pause and think about their rivalry, leading them to reevaluate their differences.

Fat Joe posted a tribute to 50 Cent without mentioning any of the ongoing disputes, like the lawsuit tied to an old associate of his. Terrance "T.A." Dixon, who used to be part of Fat Joe's crew, accused Joe in a lawsuit of plotting to harm 50 Cent during the height of their feud. Dixon said the plan got dropped because 50 Cent's security was thought to be too solid. Fat Joe has chosen to stay silent on these accusations, and his birthday post did not bring it up either.

Joe’s post highlighted how their relationship had changed and addressed 50 Cent by his real name, Curtis Jackson. He spoke with a tone that showed respect and closure. It read, “Curtis Jackson, aka I went to war with him. It’s funny how a so-called enemy can become an incredible friend. God bless you, my brother. 50 more HBD, King @50cent.”

Now spotted together at public events like New York Knicks games, the two artists seem to have left their feud in the past. Fat Joe’s public recognition of their new bond adds a fresh chapter to their story. It shows how reconciliation is possible even after years of tension.
