Most of the leaks this season come from international distributors. The problem is that they have to get the episodes in advance so people around the world can watch at the same time as American audience. It used to take days or weeks to distribute HBO shows globally. “If HBO decided, ‘You know what, we’re gonna withhold it from the international market until it airs in the United States,’ well then you’re impacting the (international) consumer experience,” a network insider explains to Josef Adalian “Or if you’re going to choose not to dub something, then you’re messing up the consumer experience. And nobody wants that.
