Why NBC called its American version of Eurovision American Song Contest and not "Amerivision" or "USvision"

“The official name of the competition is Eurovision Song Contest,” says Jenny Groom, executive vice president of alternative programming and development at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, of the reality competition premiering tonight. “We liked that American Song Contest was a seamless title with a direct connection to the original.
