After reportedly finalizing his deal on March 4 to return, followed by a contact dispute in mid-April, Ellis is officially signed on to return for Lucifer's title role, paving the way for a Season 6 renewal. As TVLine notes, "the development all but assures that Lucifer will be renewed for a sixth season, although a formal pickup has not been made. Netflix also has yet to announce a premiere date for Season 5."
