Tom Ellis finalizes Lucifer deal, paving the way for Season 6 renewal

Ellis' new contract extension to continue playing the title character on the Netflix series beyond Season 5 "all but clears the way for the series’ Season 6 renewal at Netflix," according to TVLine, which reported last week that co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson inked new deals to return for Season 6. TVLine also reports that "many — if not all — of Ellis’ co-stars have existing deals that carry them through Season 6." Netflix has been in talks with Warner Bros. to bring back Lucifer after the streaming service announced last June that it had renewed the DC Comics-based series for a fifth and "final" season.
