Netflix orders true-crime docuseries The Staircase and Evil Genius from the Duplass brothers

Three newly shot episodes of Jean-Xavier de Lestrade's 2004 classic true-crime docuseries on the trial of crime novelist Michael Peterson will join the Netflix lineup. The new episodes will follow Peterson's final trial. Netflix has also ordered the four-part docuseries Evil Genius: The True Story of America’s Most Diabolical Bank Heist from Jay and Mark Duplass on the so-called "pizza bomber heist" from 2003.
