The streaming service has ordered a 10-episode live-action adaptation of the 1998 classic Japanese anime series. Cowboy Bebop tells "a jazz-inspired, genre-bending story of Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Fay Valentine and Radical Ed, a rag-tag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system's most dangerous criminals." The anime series, which was made into a movie in 2002, had been intended to be live-action movie starring Keanu Reeves. Original Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe will serve as a consultant. Cowboy Bebop is the latest in a slew of animated series that Netflix has recently announced.
