Jimmy Fallon receives fresh backlash over his 2000 SNL appearance in blackface

Early this morning, #JimmyFallonIsOverParty began trending on Twitter after a 20-year-old clip of Fallon portraying Chris Rock in black race resurfaced. "NBC fired Megan Kelly for mentioning blackface. Jimmy Fallon performed on NBC in blackface," the Twitter user who sparked the hashtag wrote. This isn't the first time Fallon's use of blackface has been criticized. Former NBC America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon brought Fallon's blackface up in a 2019 Instagram post.
