HGTV is rebooting Design Star for the coronavirus era

Dubbed Design Star: Next Gen, the new version of Design Star will be hosted by Allison Holker Boss and judged by Jonathan Adler, designer Lauren Makk and a “rotating cast of celebrity experts." HGTV says one of the eight finalists will win $50,000 and their own HGTV show. Each of the six episodes will be shot in a “design hub” community to protect the cast and crew from coronavirus.
