HBO offering 500 hours of free programming, including The Sopranos, The Wire, Veep and Succession

Starting Friday, HBO will launch the #StayHomeBoxOffice initiative to get people to stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic. The list of free programming, available via the HBO Now and HBO Go apps, includes every episode of The Sopranos, Veep, Succession, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Silicon Valley, Barry, True Blood and Ballers. Also streaming for free are 20 Warner Bros. movies, including Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, and 10 HBO documentaries, including McMillions and The Case Against Adnan Syed. The free streaming doesn't, however, include megahit Game of Thrones. The free #StayHomeBoxOffice initiative comes ahead of HBO Max's launch in May.
