HBO Max announces two American Girl specials, Peyton List ghost romance B-Loved, Home Sweet Rome and Henry Winkler's Hank Zipzer

Miya Cech will star in American Girl: Corinne Tan, inspired by the doll brand’s 2022 girl of the year and the first doll of Chinese descent. A second special will be released in 2023. List will play a free-spirited teenage ghost who forms a special friendship with the new boy in town in the two-part special B-Loved. Home Sweet Rome is a joint HBO Max- Cartoon Network musical comedy from Hannah Montana and That's So Raven co-creator Michael Poryes that follows a 13-year-old California girl who moves to Rome with her dad and stepmom, who happens to be an Italian pop star. HBO Max has also acquired Hank Zipzer, based on the children's book co-written by Winkler, about a smart and resourceful boy with dyslexia who sees himself differently from the way the world sees him.
