Fred Savage to spoof aftershows with Fox's What Just Happened??!

From The Walking Dead's Talking Dead to Mr. Robot's Hacking Robot to Game of Thrones' After the Thrones, there has been a glut of TV aftershows in the Prestige TV era. Fox is entering the mix with a spoof of aftershows hosted by Savage, the former star of The Grinder. What Just Happened??! with Fred Savage is a half-hour hybrid comedy talk show devoted to a fictional sci-fi thriller called The Flare, which Fox teased on its Twitter account this morning. The Flare is based on the "fictional book The Moon Is the Sun at Night, which revolves around a solar event and its effects on Earth — specifically, the small, blue-collar town of Milford, Ill. – and slowly unfolds into a post-apocalyptic battle for human survival." What Just Happened??! debuts June 30 for a nine-week run, featuring sit-down celebrity interviews, set visits to the fake drama The Flare and interviews with the fake show's "cast."
