Fox orders four dramas, including Stephen Dorff's Deputy, Prodigal Son and neXt

Deputy stars Dorff as the deputy sheriff of Los Angeles County in what Fox is calling “a modern cop drama that blends the spirit of a classic Western with a modern-day attitude and gritty authenticity." Prodigal Son stars Walking Dead alum Tom Payne as NYPD criminal psychologist Malcolm Bright, who is skilled in his job thanks in part to being the son of a serial killer, played by Michael Sheen. In neXt, Mad Men alum John Slattery plays a tech pioneer who, in order to avert global disaster, “teams up with a cybercrime agent to fight a villain unlike anything we’ve ever seen — one whose greatest weapon against us is ourselves." Fox has also picked up an untitled drama based on the Australian drama Sisters, from Jason Katims and Annie Weisman, about three women -- played by Brittany Snow, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Emily Osment -- who learn they are related because of their fertility doctor father's IVF scandal.
