Dwayne Johnson to star in Young Rock, an NBC comedy based on his "formative years"

Fresh Off the Boat creator Nahnatchka Khan will serve as showrunner on Young Rock, which has received an 11-episode straight-to-series order. Young Rock will dramatize the WWE wrestler-turned-action star's formative years. NBC says Johnson, who will serve as executive producer, “will appear in each episode as the focus and inspiration of the series will be about his formative years.”
