Drew Barrymore calls her daytime talk show "Optimism TV"

“I’m in the joy business,” she said of The Drew Barrymore Show, launching in syndication on CBS stations this fall. “I don’t carry the umbrella of darkness with me.” Barrymore added that she was doing a talk show because it was easy schedule-wise in terms of raising a family. “I didn’t want to let go of everything I’ve done and who I was,” Barrymore said. “I wanted to make a new application of all that in a way that better served me schedule-wise.”
