7NEWS U.S. Correspondent Amelia Brace and cameraman Tim Myers were covering the Washington, D.C. protests live for Australian morning show Sunrise when cops with batons shields began charging at protesters. Myers was struck in the chest by a riot shield and punched in the face and Brace was clubbed with a police baton. The viral video prompted Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison to call for an investigation, while Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese called the incident “completely unacceptable." Brace later went on air to confirm that she and her cameraman are okay.
