Adam Sandler to host SNL for the first time

Since Sandler was fired from Saturday Night Live in 1995, he has returned sporadically -- including opening the show in 2002. But he has never hosted. That will change on May 4, when Sandler hosts with musical guest Shawn Mendes. In 2014, Sandler explained to Norm Macdonald why he had never returned to host. “Why should I?" Sandler said. "I don’t know how good it would be. I’m slow now…I did what I could do on that show.”
